Zaurus rocks! How many pda(or is it personal mobile tools) can you ssh
into? you can use OpenZaurus instead of the default rom supplied by
sharp. Zaurus has its downside too. The batteries run out fast. real
fast if you use wireless(i guess john has the best low power consumption
CF card).
Right now I sync it with evolution with multisync over my wireless
network. never really got ethernet over USB to work under linux once i
got wireless working i never even cared to look at sync using USB.

Honestly zaurus won't even come close to a your
need(workingout/jogging). I think it would be better to use RioSport or
something similar.

Now I would like to get my hands on these
http://www.dynamism.com/zaurus/
unfortunately they are not sold in the US!
Overall zaurus is a neat tool.these days i use it more for wardriving.
Its fun to see so many unsecured networks.
