Not totally true.  Sam Palmisano (IBM CEO) issued a challenge to his IT
dept to move the entire company to Linux desktops in the next two years.  
Not a mandate, just a challeng to see if they can do it.  Considering the
number of people they employ, and number of workstations IBM must have
worldwide, I'd say that is very strong interest in Linux on the desktop.
