Dr. Scott Petrie of Orthopedic and Sports Clinic in Gonzales did an excellent job. Said he had lots of experience working on local sports team's injuries incl. LSU. Said he used a new L-shaped brace and 4X~2" screws that has only been available from Swiss orthopedic trauma equipment firm Synthese(sp?) for 2 months. Uses a locking screw head to attach screw to metal brace. He also had to use some sort of "plaster|cement" as glue in between the pieces, which will be replaced with bone over time. I will try to get photos of my xray, as they are neat. Doing much better, able to stay in wheelchair longer, sleeping better at night so I'll be more active during the day.
