Well thats just the thing.......... I got it working on Knoppix not vanilla Debian and I didn't use apt. I know that Knoppix is a mixture of stable, testing, and possibly Klaus stuff thrown in there somewhere. I ended up downloading the *.tar.gz files and rolling from scratch. I have more of a feeling that it was MY mistakes along the way that caused me to have to "find solutions" rather than the software not being implemented correctly. This is something I'm going to work on before continuing with any document.
