I haven't seen these systems on the shelves at the local stores, but it is
encouraging to see that 5 of the 14 desktop systems offered on the Sam's
Club site are Linux systems with several open source applications.

I am putting together some things for my programming demo (as an aid to
getting a job when I graduate), and was wondering if anyone here had
some ideas on Linux apps that they would like to see.  (Nothing too
overly complicated..:) )
