I am still testing, but it appears to be working well.  KMail is now able to 
resolve public keys associated with digitally signed email.  Actually, it is 
not KMail specifically that is automatically receiving keys from a keyserver.  
Instead it is GNUpg.  I configured gpg.conf (found in ~/.gnupg) in the 
following manner:

keyserver x-hkp://pgp.mit.edu
keyserver-options auto-key-retrieve

That is it.  Does not seem like there is much involved...have I missed 
something?  More testing required. :)
