A lot of good information was passed in this tread and a presentation to wrap it all up would be a useful exercise. There's more to it than configuration settings for specific programs. A presentation with references, a summary of theory and practical application would be good practice for PHB talks and provide a resource for yourself and others.
You can check out my feeble efforts on behalf of the newbies and see what I'm talking about here: http://ensim.3esolutions.com/~hillnotes.org/brlug/sig/ A lecture on digital trust is a much richer topic than something like partitions. I've seen different infrastructures discussed here, thanks Scott Harney, and only have the foggiest notion of how to implement any of them. There are also interesting tangents to take, such as signing messages for an anonymous persona in Freenet. The OpenBSD people have documented all sorts of abuse by vendors and seem to have good, no nonsense advice. It could be fun. What do you think?
