I like weather.gov and wish they would update it more frequently. No matter how good the site, he still won't know if a tree is going to fall on him. The hurricane prep is nothing unusual. We bought water, cans and dry goods like oatmeal. We have a 12V inverter, a 12V TV with a car plug and always keep candles and ice. I'll be shutting down most of my computers tonight to guard against power failures and save the UPS for cable modem and laptop use. If cable dies, I've got a cheap dial up to fall back on. We thought about running to my parents camp in North Louisiana because family in New Orleans went there yesterday. My little brother just happened to be in New Orleans too and it would have been nice. Other things kept me here and now it looks like the hurricane is a big zero to BR.
