After poking around a bit on Ebay

I've found a number of cheaper alternatives to the
ComboDock. I think the ComboDock is so expensive
because of the higher quality case construction.
However; I agree, the cost is steep.

I think the ComboDock is aimed primarily at Mac users,
who are willing to drop more $$$ on hardware. ;)
