Was going to reply with something funny or smart-alecky, then I realized: that won't fix anything.
What can we do about this? Would it even help to write our congressional representatives? I mean, we could come up with something that is fairly knowledgeble about the issue, being geeks. I've followed Lessig's writings (http://www.lessig.org/blog/) on this issue for awhile.
