Please don't install that goofy software. No you don't need it unless you want to install whatever spyware/monitoring software cox wants you to install. It's probably not that bad, but you don't need the software to use the service. It probably makes troubleshooting easier for them by installing some software specific to them. Also it'll set your homepage to a cox specific page! BB
