Actually everything but the kernel is c++ I could prove it but would be in violation of a copyright law ... xp was build on VB and VC. Problem with any windows version is it is setup to run on too much hardware wich makes it buggy as all hell to begin with. Another good resource to back my claims is to speak with Daniel Drobbins he works for them fools now and can back my entire statement.
