Get some tie wraps, or zip ties, what ever you want to call them. Lowe's or Home Depot should have them. Put a long wood screw in the plywood on either side of the device you're mounting (sometimes on 3 sides, depending). Put the device on the plywood, put the tiewraps around it and the screws, and tighten them down.
