Hey, I wanted to learn vi... back when it was the only thing available on
the USL Solaris labs... :)  Well, it was either that or emacs...

I don't remember if nano/pico were on there or not, now that I think about
it.

Actually, I still use vi now if I want to do a quick edit of a file on a
remote server and I don't feel like logging into in with Nautilus and
editing the file with gedit.  Then again, I don't find gedit all that slow
on my laptop, and I like its highlighting modes for code work.
