From Linux, you access it via an MTP (media transfer protocol) interface, so a program like gphoto can access it. Through Windows, there are several apps, such as the yahoo music jukebox that work really well with it.
For now, it seems the only way to load music over wifi is through the Yahoo Unlimited service, which is a flat-rate per month, unlimited download of DRM'ed music. I think the cost is around $14 per month, but I think that's a fair price to pay to be able to hear just about any song you'd like on demand. Since I'm not paying per-track, I don't seem to mind the DRM on the songs as much. I don't plan to ever listen to the songs on anything other than the Sansa or with the YMJ player, so I don't feel cheated.
