I'd assume it requires RHEL or CentOS... I know some shops that are sick of paying 67 a seat but don't like the required plugins of Scalix or other solutions. MS's 16GB limit on public folders on all non-Enterprise Exchange flavors rubs a lot of people the wrong way as well.
