Here's an example of their "pretty good customer service", almost 10 years 
ago: 
In the fall of 1998, we used them at an ISP where I worked.  When an antenna 
on the roof went down in a storm and their VP happened to be in our office, 
he went on the roof in his business suit to help restore the connection.

I also looked into using them as recently as 2002 to provide non-Cox internet 
service in a fraternity house on LSU's campus.  They had a few other houses 
doing that at the time, and unless you were looking for the antenna, you 
wouldn't notice it.  They had pretty reasonable prices for bandwidth at the 
time.  Cox wanted to sell residential service to every bedroom in the house 
and business service for the common areas, so a single plan from BroadbandIP 
would have been significantly cheaper.

I don't know if you can get Speakeasy in BR, but they look like they have 
business level plans at $59.95 and $65.95 (and up).
