I have a Creative QuickCam Pro 9000 that works flawlessly with PCLinuxOS. All I had to do was install the UCV video webcam kernel module using Synaptic and the cam came right up. I have tried it with Ekiga, Skype and Kopete and it works fine. You might also find some additional information here:
