Excellent, that's exactly what I wanted to hear!  I was afraid I would get the
answer I sometimes get in the Linux world when things barely work, which goes
something like "theoretically, X driver will support some things, maybe".  I
wanted to get information from people who are actually using it.  Last time I
asked this question 3 years ago on a Linux forum lots of people replied, yet
no one responded who had actually used a webcam on Linux to do video chat.
