Lol, I have given up on the fact that they will ever be done, however the more recent releases have become closer to being stable and no major changes to the architecture (which opens up a can of worms in libs incompatibility). I would say that E17 runs much smoother than E16, plus the fact that it runs animated wallpapers and still runs smoother is cool.
Windows has certain games that allow for dual/triple monitor configs to effectively run a game (there is a piece of hack for DirectX games that forces it into detecting it a large monitor). There are certain games that also support this, not all of them do (if you SLI the cards you lose that ability immediately, so you have to be NON SLI'ed). Linux its currently not possible to stretch any game to 3 monitors (driver fault??).
