That's good news, Adam! Nice to hear. I know that there are a few UL students who use Linux, and in fact I was inspired to try it myself after seeing a computer science student running Ubuntu. I don't think it's very widespread, though. I'm going to do my part to spread awareness by using my new Ubuntu-loaded laptop in the classroom this fall. I just got a new Toshiba laptop and now I can use all the fancy compiz stuff that grabs people's attention. (Before I had an older Dell whose graphics card was incapable of 3D.) Plus I figured out how to hotplug the laptop with external projectors, something that has always been a problem for me since first trying Linux.
