Jon, The Cottage Cafe used to be a nice hang out of Linux users. You may be able to spot a cute girl too.
I would love to see a professor giving assignments using Rosegarden. Check out Alsatools, Rosegarden, Audacity, ctronome, mplayer, lame, flac. If find those to be the most useful tools for music. An OK live CD for music is Dynabolic. I am particularly glad to say that they use WindowMaker as their Window Manager. Unfortunately, I rarely find people who appreciate it. WindowMaker has a very low profile, incredibly feature rich and a set of very useful utilities called Dock.Apps. It is also fully compatible with Gnome and KDE. It might be fun for to test drive but it is nothing like KDE, Gnome and Widows and OSX. It does share many internal similarities to OSX but not in terms of usability. Welcome to the group. Maybe we can get some topics rolling! Alvaro On Friday 04 July 2008 21:08:41 Jonathan Kulp wrote: > That's good news, Adam! Nice to hear.
