I rent a server at OVH France with Windows 2008 Web Edition. Like many people I had much trouble with this system is brand new. For instance IIS7 does not include ftp service and many other funny things with new NET structures, studio factory, SQLServer 2008 news, DotNet Schémas are cumbersome. I downloaded ML 4.1 but I do not understand what is happening. I am connected to this machine using SSH. Someone's in the same situation as me? I think that Windiows 2008 will be a very good OS for Web service support, but I have decided to definitively leave SQL and strange XML support done by MicroSoft.
