Hi Gurbeer,

Are the documents being created in ASP.Net and if so, why not use ASP.Net
for making any corrections before inserting into the MarkLogic database?
Are you looking for a web-based UI for reviewing and editing the documents
and in what form do you want them viewable for approval (I assume not as
straight XML but as some form of easily readable HTML layout)?

There are lots of ways to approach this depending on your workflow and
strategic goals. I have a variety of ASP.Net applications that I have
migrated into MarkLogic, some of which have hooks into a SQL database for
which I use an ASP.Net http application to provide an interface to the SQL
database. I have a newer application that I built from scratch using xquery
and MarkLogic with a web-based UI for creating, qc-ing, and publishing
content.

Subject: [MarkLogic Dev General] Workflow in Marklogic

Hi,

I came to know, Marklogic supports workflow also. Need some idea on this
context.

Requirement is

We will be using ASP.net application to submit documents

It's a one step workflow

User will submit a document

Editor/Admin will review the document and publish it.

How ML work flow will help me to achieve this.

We need to define User role also somewhere.
