Hi Nagaraj, Welcome!
There are code examples that show how to move content from hdfs to MarkLogic. See the description in the docs at http://docs.marklogic.com/guide/mapreduce/samples#id_67125 but I'd recommend you peruse the entire guide http://docs.marklogic.com/guide/mapreduce before you go too far. As to where to put the connector, the docs explain that you install the connector jar on the hadoop cluster and configure it to point to MarkLogic. Unfortunately, the connector will not run against MarkLogic 5. If you want to run it, I'd recommend you upgrade your server to MarkLogic 7. (Also, I know we've certified the connector against CDH 4.3, so using 4.4 could yield issues, depending on what Cloudera has changed.) I am referring the guide available in developer.marklogic.com<http://developer.marklogic.com> for installing hadoop connector. But I am getting confusion because of the following reasons. 1.I have a cloudera hadoop (CDH 4.4) setup in a linux (CentOS 5.7 X86-64) environment. 2.I have marklogic server version 5.0 for 32 bit Windows 7. I am confused because Hadoop is installed on a remote host. So for pulling files from hdfs in marklogic I am trying to use connector for hadoop. Now where do I need to install connector? In hadoop server or marklogic server? And how can I pull files from hdfs (remote linux server) to the marklogic?
