Hi everyone, Would anyone happen to have some info on Microsoft APS (Analytics Platform System) of which PDW (Paralel Data Warehouse) is a part?
I know that PDW is running SQL Server underneath in a scale-out kind of way. And that they have some aggregator on top of SQL and Hadoop to provision for unstructured data also. We have a customer that already bought it and want to use it for a project (‘cause they already have it lying around). We want them to continue with the POC they created on top of MarkLogic. Some concrete questions: - APS says “we index almost realtime”. What does this mean, sounds expensive eventually - Look at pricing (TCO, appliance) - Tracking -> geo + alerting - What’s in the stack from a visualisation perspective - What are the big differentiators to ML?
