Hi Michel, Microsoft parallel Data warehousing costs about 400.000-500.000 Euro's for a 75 TB environment with I believe 8 Nodes that is a quarter rack as they call it. It is the same technique as Teradata and Green Plum etc... It distributes structured relational tabels over multiple nodes with an orchestrator node in the middle. They sell it as an appliance it means HP servers or Delll servers with pre packaged SQL Server in it. They can connect with Hadoop for ustrauctured data, but it is not really unstructured like MarkLogic. These are files, but they must be prepred like comma separated to be able to load into the PDW system.
