Hello Community,

For the last several months, I've been the Developer Community Manager for
MarkLogic. I've interacted with many of you in person or through email, but I'd
like to start sharing some of what's going on. I intend this to be a
once-a-month update.

Helping Out
An engaged community takes care of its members. We've had 29 questions on
StackOverflow<http://stackoverflow.com/questions/tagged/marklogic> in the last
30 days and all have been responded to. We also had 221 messages on this list
in March. Thanks to all who help out!

Projects
GitHub hosts a number of community-driven projects. I've got a new one to
highlight this month: Adam Fowler has kicked off the MarkLogic Workflow
project<https://github.com/adamfowleruk/marklogicworkflow>. Here's what he has
to say about it: "Ever needed to route content to a human for a decision, but
not want to crack the nut with the sledgehammer of a full blown BPM Suite? Ever
wanted to mix workflow, with alerting, with human tasks? Ever wished you could
manage multiple documents in a CPF pipeline rather than individuals? Ever
wished CPF was easier to configure and model? Now you can, with MarkLogic
Workflow!" Take a look at Adam's
SPRINTS<https://github.com/adamfowleruk/marklogicworkflow/blob/master/documentation/SPRINTS.md>
file to see what his plans are. You can help move this project along by
contributing tickets, testing, or by submitting code. See the
CONTRIBUTING.md<https://github.com/adamfowleruk/marklogicworkflow/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md>
 file for guidelines.

Blog posts
Are you keeping up with the MarkLogic Developer
blog<http://developer.marklogic.com/blog>? If not, you've missed posts on
Integrating Apache Camel and
MLCP<http://developer.marklogic.com/blog/camel-and-content-pump>, how
Samplestack keeps reputation
consistent<http://developer.marklogic.com/blog/samplestack/transactions>, and
using MarkLogic to store session information when using
Node.js<http://developer.marklogic.com/blog/connect-marklogic>.

There is some great MarkLogic content on other blogs, too. For instance, Tamas
Piros started a series of posts about a Geospatial Single Page Application
using just
JavaScript<http://www.tamas.io/geospatial-spa-using-javascript-only-part-1/>.

Do you have MarkLogic tips you'd like to share or a community project you'd
like to announce? I'm happy to have guest bloggers -- contact me and let me
know what you'd like to write about.

Dave.
