I'm moving a MarkLogic database to another server (using the same ML 5 version)
The backup took 7 hours to run. When restoring I get an error that looks like a problem with the backup files: 31:43.613 Error: Restore of forest NetvisnProd from \\svr1\mldata\20160914-0959422690000 <file:///\\svr1\mldata\20160914-0959422690000> , jobid=16809854966850702991 failed: SVC-FILCOPY: File copy error: write F:\MarkLogic\Data\TmpForests\NetvisnProd\0001794a\TreeData: Invalid argument 2016-09-15 09:31:44.379 Error: 3-forest database restore from \\svr1\mldata\20160914-0959422690000 <file:///\\svr1\mldata\20160914-0959422690000> , jobid=16809854966850702991 failed: SVC-FAILED: Failed Before the restore I applied the configuration from the current database to the new one. Would I be better off with a Forest backup and restore? Is it possible to just move the Data folder to the new server? (single server configuration) Thanks, Gary
