i too only get file name error with plot 9?9... in JHS in W7 both Chrome & FF and FF in Linux. Though viewmat works. JAL shows nothing under upgradeable.

I think Bill's remarks assume you are running JGTK. In JHS plot is always loaded so you don't need to load it. But normally in JHS the load'plot' has no effect, so something isn't quite right. Please confirm you environment. If it is MacOSX running JHS then you should be able to do a plot directly in the jijx window without loading anything.
