You should not get an error message about wget if wget does not exist.
That said, it looks like you did not remove /usr/local/bin/wget which
was what the error message in J talks about.

This may indicate a permissions problem, or a $PATH problem.

Try the wget you have installed using brew, from the command line:

wget https://jsoftware.com

If this works (creates a local file), then you should check to see if
the wget you are using is the same one mentioned in the error message
in your J session.
