On the page Component_Files <https://code.jsoftware.com/wiki/Guides/Component_Files> (/wiki/Guides/Component_Files), under the paragraph File handles, shouldn't the two locals be _jfiles_ rather than _files_? (With a “j” prefix.)
I had been assuming the the Files subsystem was the component file system I remembered from STSC APL, until I reviewed the documentation. Is jfiles a better match to what I remembered?
