I can verify what Paul says for (on Windows 10):
   JVERSION
Engine: j902/j64avx/windows
Release-a: commercial/2020-12-05T13:40:50
Library: 9.02.08
Platform: Win 64
Installer: J902 install
InstallPath: c:/pgm/j902
Contact: www.jsoftware.com

These all crash:
2 4 6 %. 1 2 3 ^/ i.2x
2 4 6 %. 1 2 3 ^/ x: i.2
2 4 6 %. 1 2 3x ^/ i.2
2 4 6 %. 1 2 3 ^/ 0x 1x
2 4 6 %. 1 2 3x ^/ x:i.2

But these work:
2 4 6x %. 1 2 3 ^/ x:i.2
2 4 6x %. 1 2 3x ^/ i.2
returning 0 2 and this one returns a floating point answer:
2 4 6x %. 1 2 3 ^/ i.2
