Some of them may only be distributed in combined works, others may not
be distributed at all ...  I don't even want to think of crypto
libraries downloaded from an US server.

Right now, we don't have anything more problematic than the Sun
packages, I agree.  So my worries can get addressed once they become
real.

You have, the gump-server-side is in my home dir on every machine I
have access to (minus hermes where I never logged in).  My master
script simply consists of repeated invocations of scp and ssh to run
the remote side.

It's not exactly rocket science. 8-)
