because we'd have to install (security) updates too often for PHP 8-) Seriously, I don't see any reason to rule out PHP completely and would even throw in ASP.NET on mod_mono if Thomas is interested. Personally I'm currently stretched too thin to commit to anything. I do have quite a bit Struts experience and some ASP.NET/mod_mono.
