The question is /which/ developers. If you insist that trunk
documentation is for contributors to the project only ... then I beg to
differ. It's a very useful resource. Making it harder to find is less
than friendly.

On the other hand, in this day of massive search engines, it doesn't
really matter where you put the generated documentation -- it gets
indexed one way or another. Unless you're now going to say that the dev/
part of the site alsy needs its own robots.txt that prevents indexing by
search engines. :)
