I’m one of the maintainers of FastExcel. The project started with a simple goal: build Excel functionality on top of Apache POI, but make it easier and more convenient for developers. Over time we’ve added lots of improvements and small touches to smooth out the rough edges, which is why it’s been adopted quite widely. We’re hoping that, by joining the Apache Incubator, we can bring in more contributors and turn this into a stronger and more open community.
