I'm offering to provide a service. I added jakarta-site2 to gump. I could
automatically upload the results to apache and symlink the site to the last
successful build.

Michael, I've put Sam Ruby into CC as he has set up a system that does
nightly builds of almost all jakarta and xml projects, see
<http://jakarta.apache.org/builds/gump/latest/index.html>.
He obviously builds jakarta-regexp successfully, maybe you could
arrange to make this build available? There already is a
builds/jakarta-regexp/nightly/ directory, which is empty.
