can you try to telnet to the host like:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ telnet 66.174.76.30  25

220 njbrwigsp4 MailShield SMTP (UCE not wanted)

Does the "220 ... " show up ? Maybe the port is blocked ?

Whats the bounce off hotmail ?
