J (or any language) should be used to build tools for yourself and grab the best tools from anywhere for the task at hand--like editors or spreadsheets

By the way--did anyone implement a Logos (Leslie Goldsmith et all) environment for J or what do you use for code management?

Code management tools were so late to be implemented--like architects living in hovels while they design other peoples palaces.

With a spreadsheet, the numbers are in the foreground;
with J, the functions seem to be.
