We had previous Estonian-Finnish J meeting 2 years ago organised by FinnAPL.

The report of our last meeting: We studied and compared J64 and J32 bit on 64 bit computer: speed and array capacity. We found that the speed is not the point, but the huge arrays are. J is only java in 64 bit and seems functional, but windows based applications require testing and some modifications.

We also circulated old Vector issues.

We have no plans to meet regulary. The next meeting will be when somebody takes the initiative and sends an invitation. FinnAPL might also organise a J afternoon meeting in the future. Maybe Leo or Esa will add something ?

I'd like to list these meetings in Vector's diary. Will you be meeting
regularly? Any chance of a report of the meeting?

Kind regards

Greetings from Helsinki. The Estonian-Finnish J User Group has had
it's first session studying J64 on Anssi's new computer. We had a
good time feeling the address space power!

Cheers,
Anssi, Leo and Esa
