Thank you Anssi for the meeting!

It was a very nice meeting indeed: spontaneous, no-nonsense and
thought-provocative.

Anssi demonstrated the possibilities of 64 bit address space and mapped files
and the differences between 32 and 64 bit systems.

It was nice to meet Leo again. He is well connected to to Estonian and Finnish
science communities and has interesting thoughts, stories and applications even
to a layman like me.

Subject: Re: [Jgeneral] J meeting at Helsinki today

We had previous Estonian-Finnish J meeting 2 years ago organised by FinnAPL.

The report of our last meeting: We studied and compared J64 and J32
bit on 64 bit computer: speed and array capacity. We found that the
speed is not the point, but the huge arrays are. J is only java in 64
bit and seems functional, but windows based applications require
testing and some modifications.

We also circulated old Vector issues.

We have no plans to meet regulary. The next meeting will be when
somebody takes the initiative and sends an invitation. FinnAPL might
also organise a J afternoon meeting in the future. Maybe Leo or Esa
will add something ?
