in general well structured, but you may want to take a look at "History of
Programming L:anguages" as well as simi8lar reference work on reusable code
(Build Program Techniques and Functional Programming Systems) and portable
translation systems (Pascal P Code and other such works) across the last 3
decades.
YUou may find that the ideas have already been promulgated: just not
propagated and aapplied en amasse.
End result: Rebuild the wheel every 4 weeks to four years, and Microsoft gas
for a Microsoft carburetor in a Microsfot car with Microosfrt wheels
(square, made of granite, and with your own personal hammer and chisel to
round them off, ... every 18 mnoths or so)...
Nothing new tothis: reusable and madular software, with paradigmatic softwar
eabstarctions has been available since prior to Cajori (we called it
Mathematics);
BUT: salesmen and current consultants do not like code that resues.
they canot charge for it again.
APL _and_ J have resualbe software paradigmsd: look atthe J Dictionary and
APL programming paradigms.
However, we do nto have in the software INDUSTRY full toolkits from a
rigorous engineering standpoint
(and even engineering is loosing this).
