I had to work away from where I could check J forums regularly, and it took me quite a while to catch up with it, especially because of the one prolific topic "Lack of software abstractions".
It has a lot of good comments as user feedback, which is good, but there are a few issues about the way the topic was handled: The original subject was changed a few times. If this happens, it is necessary to change the name of the subject. I could clearly identify these distinct areas: - Abstractions in J notation - Improving J IDE - Persisting session names (workspaces) - Distributing J applications possibly some more. Otherwise, these points are hard to follow and are lost with time. Taking into account the multitude of messages sorting them out was difficult with casual 1-line messages expressing personal emotions and small-talk, which in fact did not contribute anything new to the topic and may cause something important to slip through. ____________________________________________________________________________________ Want to start your own business?
