1749 files are extracted from the j601c_win64.exe file but j.exe is not in the list, perhaps because *setup_j.exe * failed. As for core J, it seems ok, as jconsole.exe works fine.
As for the multiple listing, it was quite unintended, and I apologize for the inconvenience. On 4/14/07, Dan Bron <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:
Robert, The J installer is really just a self-extracting ZIP archive. If you download and install winzip, you can right click the file setup_j.exe and extract it to the folder of your choice. Then simply double-click on j.exe. As with any other application, you can right-click on j.exe, drag it to your start menu, then select "create shortcut here", to create a program icon. I don't know enough about vista or 64 bit Oses to help further, except to note that both the 32- and 64-bit flavors of J should operate in your environment. So if one won't work, try the other. BTW you needn't post to multiple forums. Most members subscribe to all forums, so posting to just one will suffice. The general forum is designated (loosely) for installation issues (among other things). If you don't get a response, usually it's because no one knows how to answer you (or, less frequently, we do, but the required answer is prohibitively long and involved). -Dan ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For information about J forums see http://www.jsoftware.com/forums.htm
