Sometimes by upgrading to a higher version of IE can help. But I'm sure that win98 can run up to J504d.

No, it does not start. There are two more messages. One says that "file
MFC42.DLL:6625 is missing" and the other says that "a peripheral attached to
the computer is not working correctly". But the computer works fine. I
think that I need an older version of J...my old one was 4.6 I think. Thanks
for the answers.

The COM servers are not essential to run J itself.
Does j.exe start?

I am trying to re-install J on my computer after a major crash. I think
the old version that I
had was much older than J504b. I am using Win98 on an old computer. I
get a message "Jexe
Server and JdllServer Registration Failed" Anybody know how to fix this
problem? (Of course I
should buy a new computer but I'm too cheap) Don't waste too much time
on this problem if it is
hard to solve. Thanks.
