from Kindergarten up through a B.S. in Computer Science), you are taught to
evaluate expressions from left to right using My Dear Aunt Sally and later
exponentiation comes in.

Right to left is therefore unconventional _math_ notation, based on my
experience of learning Math here in the United States for 4-6 years (and still
s00king).
