Cliff(?) also suggested the following adverb to change level of lightness.

  darken=: 1 : '<.0.5+(255%~255-m)*y'
  imagelighten=: 1 : 'm+<.0.5+(255%~255-m)*y'
  lighten=: 1 : 'm+<.0.5+(255%~255-m)*y'
  lightenb=: 1 : 'a.{~m+<.0.5+(255%~255-m)*a.i.y'

        In the message referenced above, an adverb
intensify=:1 : '[: <. (**^&(-.u)@|)&.(<:@:((2%255)&*))'
is recommended by Cliff Reiter. I would like to remove
overexposure from an photo and this adverb does not seem to
help with my problem. Any suggestions?
