I liked that shape, because it's not too tall for a normal shelf, yet it's wide enough that all the coding examples work without line wrap.
The binding and cover seem first-quality, too. The paper isn't pure white but it's acceptable. As Joey said, a real book has its advantages. For one thing, the index works; but mostly I think it's easier to read paper than a CRT. All in all, I thought lulu.com did a fabulous job. I've just learned that it's a local (Raleigh, NC) company - same guy who started Red Hat.
