Tracy, Apparently you did not do the very first thing suggested in the standard Mac installation at http://www.jsoftware.com/jwiki/System/Installation/Mac which is the reason j602 is only where you found it.
"Use the Finder to copy the j602 folder from the mounted disk image to your <HOME> folder. Be sure you copy j602 folder, not the red J icon it contains!"
